Skilled Workers can apply under 1 of 4 categories may use the Express Entry Management System if they qualify. This is not a new immigration program; it is a new way CIC will manage economic immigration applications on line.
It will result in faster processing times and make it easier for applicants to secure a job before they arrive in Canada by facilitating matches with Canadian employers. Applicants must in one of the following categories:

Federal Skilled Worker Program FSWP Managerial, professional or technical occupations by specifying primary occupation for assessment.This requires that the applicant consult the NOC listings to find a description of his/her category

Federal Skilled Trades Program FSTPC: Skilled trades through criteria better adapted for skilled trades persons with an offer of employment or a certificate of qualification

Canadian Experience Class (CEC): FSWP and FSTP workers already in Canada in skilled occupations can transition more easily to Permanent Residence.

Provincial Nominations if the nominating province choses to use their access to the express entry program
Potential candidates express their interest in coming to Canada by creating an express Entry profile and providing information about their skills, work experience, language ability, education and other relevant details.
To qualify for express Entry pool potential candidates must meet the criteria of at least ONE of the three federal economic immigration programs i.e. FSWP, FSTP or CEC.
Applicants will next need to register with the JOB BANK if they do not already have a job offer or a Provincial nomination. The JOB BANK will help match candidates with Canadian employers and jobs based on their skills, knowledge and experience.
Applicants will be given a score to determine their place in the pool using a ranking system that considers skills, experience, language ability, education and other factors that will contribute to economic success. Applicants can promote themselves to potential employers. Applicants are required to update their profile while in the pool

Are among the top ranked in the Express pool based on their skills education, and experience.
